Travel

The subway system is a convenient means of transportation for traveling within Lisbon and to reach the Gulbenkian Foundation. The closest subway station to the Gulbenkian Foundation is São Sebastião (Red and Blue lines). Click here for the network diagram.

Since 2012, the subway connects the airport directly to the city center. From the airport, Gulbenkian can be easily reached by taking the red line to São Sebastião station. Alternatively, you can take a taxi for less than 10€.

If you prefer to travel by train, Lisbon is served by two stations where international trains stop. The older Estação de Santa Apolónia is located close to the city center, while Gare do Oriente is located in the eastern and more modern part of the city. They are both connected to the subway system.

Please check the official Gulbenkian Foundation Webpage for more accurate information.
